Diving the Banda Sea
Not just a trip — it’s a privilege
Discover one of diving’s last wild frontiers in the heart of Indonesia’s Coral Triangle. The Banda Sea is remote, vibrant, and largely unexplored — perfect for divers seeking raw, exclusive, and extraordinary underwater experiences. Join our liveaboard trip to legendary sites few ever reach. Expect schooling hammerheads, vibrant coral walls, rare macro critters, and majestic pelagics like mantas and mobulas. With minimal boat traffic and countless untouched reefs, every dive feels like a first.
Best time for hammerhead sightings: Late August to November.

Marine Life Highlights
Dive into the Banda Sea’s iconic sites like Suanggi, Manuk, Hatta Island, and Banda Neira. Encounter schooling hammerheads, manta rays, mobulas, and sea snakes around volcanic slopes, while vibrant reefs at Hatta and Banda Neira teem with pygmy seahorses, frogfish, and ghost pipefish. With dramatic underwater terrain, rare marine life, and few divers, this route is a true hidden gem in Indonesia’s Coral Triangle.

Founder's Note
Hello, I am Nishi and I’m a SCUBA diver, freediver, and entrepreneur. I used to be a data scientist but the call of Mother Ocean is bigger than us all. Few key life events and hours of introspection led me to quit the corporate world and I found myself sitting on the beach with a life jacket (yes, I did not know how to swim back then)! Over the last few years I’ve been grateful to have the opportunity to launch and grow our Maldives vertical, Mad over Maldives. Me and my team are humbled by the love and support we’ve received from our wonderful customers. Oceaon is now expanding boundaries and I am elated to host you in iconic dive destinations across the world.
