Himandhoo, Maldives

Welcome to Himandhoo

Maldives' best kept secret

Tucked away in North Ari Atoll, about 85 km from Malé, Himandhoo is a hidden gem known for its welcoming community, pristine beaches, and direct access to some of the Maldives’ largest manta cleaning stations and top snorkeling spots.

Often called one of the most authentic islands in the Maldives, Himandhoo offers a rare chance to experience true island life—calm, uncrowded, and full of charm. Its location is perfect for divers, with channels that open into the deep sea, making encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, and other pelagics a real possibility.

Beyond the ocean, the island’s cultural roots run deep—with a historic mosque and stories of resistance from colonial times, Himandhoo is as rich in heritage as it is in marine life.

More than just a dive spot—it’s a window into the soul of the Maldives.

Founder's Note

Hello, I am Nishi and I’m a SCUBA diver, freediver, and entrepreneur. I used to be a data scientist but the call of Mother Ocean is bigger than us all. Few key life events and hours of introspection led me to quit the corporate world and I found myself sitting on the beach with a life jacket (yes, I did not know how to swim back then)! Over the last few years I’ve been grateful to have the opportunity to launch and grow our Maldives vertical, Mad over Maldives. Me and my team are humbled by the love and support we’ve received from our wonderful customers. Oceaon is now expanding boundaries and I am elated to host you in iconic dive destinations across the world.
