Top Dive Sites
Femunu Kol (Tiger shark dive)
Located at the harbour entrance is the place where we get to experience diving with the tiger shark. Consist of rocky and mostly sandy bottom, the tiger zone is suitable from beginner to experience level.
Dive Sites Name: Femunu Koi
Marine Life Highlight: Tiger Shark, Silvertips, Barracuda, Napoleon Wrasse
Deep Blue (3 Dive Sites)
One of the attractions here is to dive in the blue. There are few dive sites that cover the area for this kind of dive. Ranging from 30 to 40m depth, it is required for the diver to have Advanced Open Water or Deep Specialty to dive in this area. A unique way of diving is by dropping in the blue and let the current take you around and open your eyes widely as the pelagic fish will be anywhere in this area!
Dive Sites Name: Fari Mikede, Abadhas, Farikede
Marine Life Highlight: Hammerhead, Whale Shark, Oceanic Manta, Silvertip Shark, Barracuda
Island Corner (3 Dive Sites)
Another superb diving area is the end of the island. This place is famous for drift diving. A long reef wall will let you cruise as you get in the current. Ranging from 30 to 40m depth, it is required for the diver to have Advanced Open Water or Deep Specialty to dive in this area, however for open water diver still can stay shallow in this dive site.
Dive Sites Name: Gehmiskiy Fano, Bahthi Dhoro, Havitha Fanno
Marine Life Highlight: Thresher Shark, School of Jackfish, Grey Reef Shark
Coral Garden (3 Dive Sites)
A reef wall that give you the best coral life in the area, consist of colourful coral life, sea fans, soft and hard coral. Suitable for all sort of diving level, the area is good for check dive, daily dive trips. This area is not far from tiger shark zone, so you have a high chance to see them cruising in the blue.
Dive Sites Name: Ambul, Rasgefanno, Bondo Fanno
Marine Life Highlights: Thresher Shark, Tiger Shark, Grey Reef Shark
The Reef Wall (8 Dive Sites)
A long reef wall that offers many kinds of marine life, from pelagic to smaller creature. As you dive along this long wall, you will be mesmerizing by its beauty from colourful coral life. Look in the blue to have the chance for bigger fish, and look at the reef wall for fishes, turtle and also you can enjoy macro in this area. This area is suitable for all sort of diving level.
Dive Sites Name: Ebithe Faro, Bilhifeyshi, Kalho Akiri, Kandhoval, Maaneyre, Aruh Fanno, Nere Muli, Neregando
Marine Life Highlight: White tip shark, Grey Reef Shark, Turtle, Napolean Wrasse, Nudibranch

Hello, I am Nishi and I’m a SCUBA diver, freediver, and entrepreneur. I used to be a data scientist but the call of Mother Ocean is bigger than us all. Few key life events and hours of introspection led me to quit the corporate world and I found myself sitting on the beach with a life jacket (yes, I did not know how to swim back then)! Over the last few years I’ve been grateful to have the opportunity to launch and grow our Maldives vertical, Mad over Maldives. Me and my team are humbled by the love and support we’ve received from our wonderful customers. Oceaon is now expanding boundaries and I am elated to host you in iconic dive destinations across the world.
